Introduction

A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit group that functions independently of any government. NGOs rely on a variety of sources for funding, such as, membership dues, private donations, grants, sale of good and services.

NGOs, sometimes called civil societies, are organized on community, national and international levels to serve a social or political goal such as humanitarian causes or the environment.

Work-life balance is a concept that describes the ideal situation in which an employee can split his or her time and energy between work and other important aspects of their life. Some employee join to NGOs as a volunteer therefore the company encourage them as well to practice work life balance it may help to improve their productivity and services.

Offer Flexible work schedule

Workers value employers who empower them to manage their own time. In such case, having a flexible work schedule becomes very important. Flexibility in work timings helps the employees lay equal focus on their own personal and social side of life like that of their work. Although, such a schedule can positively affect and individual’s performance at work.

Encourage work from home

Encouraging work from home at least once a week or whenever required could help detox from the daily stress at the work place. According to work from home when employees have such benefits, giving boost to a great employee and employer relationship. Also Due to pandemic situation can continue the work task encouraging it. Working from home with loved once nearby or pampering pet while working leaves positive impact on an employee’s mind.

Time to time feedbacks and work life balance surveys

Time to time assessment of the employees is an essential part of creating a healthy work environment. Situations may differ changing times, and keeping track of these changes becomes very important in order to put effective solutions in place. Taking feedback and conducting surveys from the employees helps to identified organization issues and suggestions.

Team building exercises

According to the team building is getting people to work together to reach a common goal. It can indirectly effective way of improving employee relationship. It is one of benefit for increase productivity and employee satisfaction.

Knowledge growth

NGOs are often invited to participate in conferences both locally and internationally. These conferences are often times very informative where people can really learn a lot. Without being invited, participants will need to pay for conference passes to join. Attendance in such events educate NGOs in various fields and help their knowledge bubbles grow further.

Following above points is create loyal and satisfying employee and it is help to increase company productivity. People encourage to work with NGOs when it is well practice.
